Poupa Aluminium Systems was proud to welcome Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Cyprus, for a visit to its aluminium extrusion facility.
During the visit, guests were given a comprehensive tour of the company’s advanced production line — from billet processing and extrusion through to the finishing of end products — offering a first-hand view of Poupa’s in-house, vertically integrated manufacturing capability.
The visit reflected a shared conviction that research and innovation are decisive accelerators of industrial transformation. As Michalis Gregoriou, Head of Business Development at the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB), put it, “research and innovation are accelerators for the transformation of industry, strengthening the resilience and outward orientation of the productive ecosystem.” His remarks also underlined OEB’s role in fostering closer synergies between industry and research.
Poupa Aluminium Systems warmly thanks the Chief Scientist and all who took part, and reaffirms its commitment to investing in research and development, state-of-the-art production technology, and the people driving Cypriot manufacturing forward.
